Ms. Sarah ElNour

Sarah ElNour is a bilingual legal professional who has practiced law in Qatar since 2015. She has significant experience advising on disputes, and drafting and submitting pleadings in civil and commercial matters, with a strong focus on international disputes between contractors and government entities, including construction, banking, tax disputes, and international commercial contracts.

Sarah has worked in two top-tier law firms in Dispute Resolution in Qatar, where she practiced litigation, arbitration, and mediation (ADR). She is currently a legal researcher in international law at the Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva, focusing on the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), World Trade Organization (WTO), International Trade Centre (ITC), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

She holds an LL.B. from Qatar University (2011–2015), an LL.M. in Private Law, Arbitration, and Company Law from Qatar University (2017–2020), and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Technology Law at Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL), with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (2022–2025).

Sarah has built a strong profile in legal publishing and public speaking within the Qatari legal community. She regularly contributed judicial updates for the MENA Business Law Review by LexisNexis and published a feature article in the Qatar Business Law Review (QBLR) in 2018, offering commentary on key provisions of Qatar’s Arbitration Law.

She co-authored an article on the criminal liability of arbitrators published in the International Journal of Arab Arbitration (Volume 11 – No. (1) 2019), and wrote a feature article on arbitrating corporate law disputes published in QBLR in October 2021. Sarah has also authored several pieces featured on Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, highlighting developments in dispute resolution and business law in Qatar. In addition, she spoke at the Qatar Business Law Forum in November 2021 on the Singapore Convention on Mediation and its relevance to Qatari domestic laws.
