The Conference is being organized in partnership with the Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), Hamad Bin Khalifa University, College of Law (HBKU), the UNESCO Chair on Environmental Law and Sustainable Development (ELSD) at HBKU, and the International Law Association – GCC Branch (ILA-GCC). It is held in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a specialized United Nations agency dedicated to promoting and protecting intellectual property (IP) through balanced and effective global systems.

Our Supporting Partners are Qatar International Court (QICDRC), Qatar Experts and Arbitrators for Awareness and Culture Association (QEAACA), Foley Hoag; and our Innovation Partner is Qatar Research Development and Innovation Council (QRDI Council).
The Conference will examine how international legal standards contribute to the development of robust national laws and policies, reinforcing Qatar’s position as a regional leader in legal innovation, sustainable growth and attraction of FDI to the region. The WIPO will participate in the Conference through the presence of leading international practitioners, leaders and international participants who will speak and further hold hands-on trainings and workshops during the Conference.
The Conference will explore key drivers of an innovation-led and sustainable economy on an international and regional level. Topics include the role of IP and innovation in supporting SMEs, sustainable development, and foreign investment through advanced IP systems and ADR. It will also address the impact of technology on legal frameworks, the evolution of arbitration and mediation, and the strategic importance of sports-related IP in the economic and legal growth of Qatar and the region.
