The GCC panel discussion organized by the College of Law, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in partnership with the International Law Association GCC Branch on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, provided a platform for insightful and engaging conversations with leading experts on key legal frameworks shaping the future of the GCC.
The discussion, “Safeguarding Gulf Cooperation Council Interests under International Law: Remedies, Resilience, and Recovery” laid the groundwork for establishing legally sound mechanisms for regional security and economic resilience against regional stability. The discussion also ensured GCC member states can navigate international relations while minimizing damage from geopolitical conflicts.
The International Law Association, GCC Branch, led by is dedicated to fostering the development of a vibrant legal community through scholarly research, professional training, and constructive dialogue among academics, practitioners, and policymakers. This session underscores a sustained commitment to realizing this objective with the topic and experts facilitating dialogue within the legal community on the applicability of international law during geopolitical conflict.
